We stopped buying chocolate chip cookies as no shop-bought brands I tried beat this homemade version. When you bake cookies for your own consumption, you get to choose the best quality butter or chocolate that go into your mixer. These cookies are soft and chewy in the middle, oozing with melted chocolate of your choice. This is a good base for all variations you fancy. I prefer mine with dark chocolate chips and some nuts. The children like theirs with milk or white chocolate chips. Play around with it and see which version is yours. But whatever you do, don't over bake these. We want to keep soft chewy texture in the middle.
